After the Walk N Roll festivities, we were able to have a wonderful day at the zoo! This year was quite different in that Rhema was so excited about the animals. She knows all the ASL signs for each animal and she would sign each animal when we talked about them. I was one proud momma to see my little girl signing so well!
We all got to hear the trainer do a short talk about the elephants. During the talk the smaller elephant kept using his trunk to spray the trainer and towards us the audience; Rhema loved watching all this! I got some video and she was watched that over and over again. LOL! Even when we got to the gift shop after much talk and me trying to get her to understand that she can take home something she finally picked out a small elephant. She talked the whole time about the elephant squirting water.
We got to feed the giraffe together; it was a little up-close-and-personal feeling! LOL! They are huge and very intimidating in their size. Rhema backed way off, but I held the cup and Rhema just watched me feed them. I got some video so she was watched this too over and over. LOL!
Rhema LOVES to ride the train! There are two tunnels and this year she did not even hide when we went through them! Hey, that’s some progress; we will take it! Yay!
