At home we are incorporating as much of her OT activities as we can. I found these cards at a consignment shop and they’ve been a great addition to our fine motor development time! I am the one primarily doing the “sewing”, but Rhema helps me pull the string through after I get it into the hole. I’m hoping that she will progress soon into doing it all by herself!
Rhema still rides every week for Hippo-therapy! Even with this cold weather, we bundle her up and she rides to keep her torso strong. This form of therapy is very important, especially now that she is unable to do formal PT. Riding works her torso muscles and leg muscles with the goal to keep her strong in preparation for surgery. Rhema does so well and is talking much more while riding.
Rhema also continues with her OT each week at school. We’ve seen some great improvement from week to week! Below is where they are working on holding a writing instrument; the bottom 4 lines on the page are Rhema’s with minimal assistance! Yea Rhema!
