So, Rhema had her post operative appointment with her surgeon. Her feet look good and are maintaining their elasticity; we’ve been stretching her out daily, several times daily. That is the good news. The other news, Rhema’s feet continue to turn inward and the surgeon said that any other surgery to correct this cannot be done until she is between ages 6-7 years. So, for us that means that we are back to twister straps for cables. We are not happy with this, but will have to continue this course and have committed all this to prayer. We will be talking with her PTs to see which route they suggest we go– straps or cables. It’s disconcerting and feels like such a set back for her; we’ve not have had time to digest this information and get before the Lord on this. I, Momma am not smiling and am struggling with all this brings. I’ve been in much prayer myself just to get re-centered and at peace. We’ve got a road ahead of us if this is truly the path for the next 3-4 years. We covet your prayers on this topic of Rhema’s feet and walking. There are MANY logistics to work out and MANY discussions to be had as we discern how to navigate Rhema’s mobility challenges.
