Rhema was invited to the Shriner’s Christmas Party! We had such a lovely time and it was wonderful to see Mr. Ray and his wife and our other friends who frequent Shriners. Rhema wanted a cupcake so badly, and when I gave it to her she said, “now let’s pray” and folded her little hands. I managed to pray and partly giggled through the prayer for this lone cupcake and then she dug in!
Rhema was fascinated with these two snow globes at the party. I would shake them up and she would watch it snow and then say “again”! I was so proud of her when she finally got brave enough to hold it and shake it!
Rhema was not too sure about seeing Santa while at the party, but she was very curious about what was in the box! She does not unwrap things yet, so I partially opened it and she peeked inside. It was so cute to hear her say, “OHHHHH, It’s a PIRATE ship!” One would think after seeing what’s inside that she would want to tear it open, but nope, she just sat there talking about it and waiting. I gave it a little while to see if she would get brave, but then finally opened it as folks passing by our table kept asking me why she would not open it. I decided we would work on our “opening-issues” at home and ripped it open for her.
One happy little, Pirate Princess! She LOVES her pirate ship and the extra little boat they added to it!
The Shriners have been so wonderful to our family and we feel extra blessed to have been invited to their wonderful Christmas Party!
