The morning we woke up to leave I had this ready for Rhema at her breakfast chair. We gathered the shells the day before at the beach, I got a plastic container and some beach sand so make a memory jar for her. Rhema and I touched, looked at and talked about each shell as we placed them in her memory jar. It was a wonderful sensory exercise where we talked about size, color, texture and shape of each shell. Rhema loved holding each shell and even helped me put a few of the shells “in” the jar. When we got home we added the other shells from the previous week and now she has a wonderful shell jar for her room. I pray it’s the first of MANY, MANY to come for her!
