Rhema got to play with Play Dough for the first time recently! I’ve hesitated to let her try it as she still puts lot of things in her mouth still. I’ve caught her twice just this week biting off the end of her crayons. I still cannot leave her alone with crayons or anything small as it will go in her mouth quicker than I can catch her. However, I was so happy to see that she did not once try to put this in her mouth. Rhema was really quite creative; she put a Lalaloopy in it and the play-dough became a “boat” and a “bed”. I loved to see her imagination come to life!
I love Rhema’s colorful toys! I snapped this picture recently of her Lalaloopys while she was at the doctor’s office. Rhema is learning so much about being creative and about the wonderful world around her.
This is Rhema’s first “funky” work of art which she did on my desk drawer. She used some yellow page marking tabs and arranged them in this pattern and then proudly showed me her work. “Momma, I decorated it…” was what she explained. Rhema was very proud of her “art” and I snapped this picture as a keepsake. I admit it’s very “beauty-is-in-the-eye-of-the-beholder” pretty, but she was sure proud of it and I wasn’t going to argue. LOL!
