Boo Boos & Boo Hoos

Don’t worry, it is momma that “boo-hoos” over Rhema having this lesion on her heel, not Rhema, she doesn’t feel a thing.  Somehow Rhema’s little, delicate right heel has developed a deep, large lesion.  Well, she had small abrasion on the other foot too, but it is not a worry; I am just putting triple-antibiotic on it as a precaution. And since I’m doing a wound care regimen again I’m also treating the little abrasions/small blisters she always has on her ankles.

I’ve racked my brain and fought feelings of guilt over how this could have happened and how did I miss it forming, but there is just no rhyme nor reason for this!  I’ve been doing wound care for a week now and it appears to be better and then the next day I change the bandages it will look suspicious.  So, after talking with Rhema’s Early Interventionist I’ve decided to take her to the doctor to get it checked out and possible debris.  Please join us in prayer that this will heal quickly.

Having this lesion has limited Rhema from going to any kinds of therapy that requires weight bearing or being in the water i.e. Rhema’s beloved Aquatic Therapy.  Thus far Rhema seems oblivious to missing out on going to see her “friends” but my prayer is that she can get back to her regular schedule soon.  And, if you can, pray for me (momma) I’ve really had a hard time with this and am feeling really down.

Thank you so much dear family and friends who pray for Rhema….
