Rhema had her first “juice box” tonight in preparation for her surgery tomorrow. They’ve moved her surgery time until 11:30am so, unlike the last two times, she can have a small drink before 7:30am. So, we stopped to pick up some clear juices for her to try between 7:00-7:30am. Rhema liked the pear juice box and seemed I handle drinking it okay, so it will not be a foreign experience for her when I wake her up and hand her an apple or white grape juice box.

We are excited for tomorrow as the pins will officially be removed!!! Gone! History! Yea!!!! It will be great not to have to be concerned with those and have her wounds finally be able to begin healing and closing.

Please join us in praying for peace and smooth sailing on all fronts tomorrow. This is the last cast change and we will have only three more weeks of casts left to go before we are finally done with this process. We want to finish well: no infections, no sickness, no further delays, etc…… We covet your prayers for her and all of us as we are nearing the end of this journey toward proper, straight feet for Rhema. All of us will be relieved when this is behind is and we can get back to our normal routines of therapies and moving on toward reaching mobility goals for Rhema.

Blessings, and we will post all her progress tomorrow.
