The first week has passed and Rhema is eating well, is IV free and in a private room now. The doctors just increased her intake again to 85ml per feeding which is pretty high and difficult to maintain with pure breast milk. Even our lactation consultant said that level per feeding is much more than what other non-NICU babies her size would take.

We are currently working on a realistic schedule and logistics that would allow her to breast feed, provide milk throughout the whole day (8 feedings) and visit frequently until she can come home. We are also awaiting some next steps and assessment from her doctors.

Since Rhema was assigned a quiet, private room last night, she is sleeping much better.
