Hello, I wanted to have my own blog space so I (ElizaBeth) can write about what’s on  my heart.  My hubby is the writer of the family and my grammar is horrible so bear with me when you read my posts.  🙂

I wanted to share something the Lord spoke to me that was so encouraging to my heart concerning my sweet daughter Rhema.  I was watching Joyce Meyer early one morning and she was preaching out of the scripture Genesis 13:14-15.  One funny thing that struck me was the numbers were consecutive 13:14-15  like Rhema’s birthday which is 8-9-10.  The scripture says, Genesis 13:14-15 “Lift up your eyes from where you are, look north, south, east and west.  All the land you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.”  As I read the scripture the Lord began to speak to my heart about the phrase “lift up your eyes”; He reminded me that it is a moment to moment decision I have to make to not focus on the current situations but to look up from “where my help comes from”. Our God is so faithful!! As I continue to “lift up my eyes”, I find my Jesus ready and available to bring comfort, bind up my broken heart, and strengthen me for all that is ahead.

Also, the Lord spoke to me about the verse that said, “look north, south, east and west”; He began to encourage me about her potential. He would address her and bless her life in 360, meaning in it’s entirety.  Yes, her physical needs are important to address, but that she had a devine purpose to be here for “such a time as this”.  This was so encouraging to me as I’ve been so focused on the physical needs she has I’d not given much thought to much else.  Praise the Lord that He doesn’t get distracted with things and can keep us reminded of the bigger picture so we can refocus our sight.  Rhema is a precious gift to us as a family and also to the world for this specific time and we need not forget that even in the midst of this rocky start.

Lastly, the Lord took me to 2 Kings 6 where Elisha prayed that his servant’s eyes be opened and when the servant lifted his eyes up toward the mountain tops he saw a heavenly army waiting to defend them if the enemy chose to attack.  “There are more with us than there are with them” like Elisha admonished his servant and we know that with our Jesus we already have the victory because of what He did on the cross. The Lord took me back to Genesis 13: 17 which reads, “Go, walk length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.” The word “go” jumped off the page at me and the Lord spoke that in order for Abraham to possess the land he had to go out and walk it to possess it. Concerning my daughter, we will have to daily lift our eyes in faith and move forward toward each victory the Lord has for us and Rhema.

This was such an encouraging word from the Lord and I wanted to share this with all of you hoping that you are uplifed as well.  Blessings on you all who are praying for her and for us!!  We feel the prayer covering and need it so desperately as we daily move forward.  Thank you again to all of you and keep up with the blog so you can watch her progress and know how to pray and stand in agreement with us.

Love you All!
